When the goal is to define a property rather than wall it off, a split rail fence is a timeless answer. With its open posts and stacked rails, it marks a boundary, lends a relaxed country character, and keeps the view wide open across your land. De Dios Construction builds split rail fencing for Auburn homeowners who want that rustic, unhurried look, and because we run as a family crew, the classic charm comes with quality Cedar and dependable workmanship at a price that makes sense.
A split rail fence uses far less material than a privacy fence, yet the posts still have to be set right to carry the rails and hold their line for years. Auburn’s wet ground and seasonal shifts make proper post depth and drainage every bit as important here as on a taller fence. Cedar is a natural fit for the open design, weathering to a soft silver tone while resisting rot and insects without any chemical help, which is exactly what you want from wood that lives fully exposed to the elements.
Fencing schedules fill quickly once the weather turns, though a split rail build tends to go up faster than most styles thanks to its simpler frame. Reaching out early still pays off, letting us slot your project in and finish it well before the fall rains settle back over the valley.
A split rail fence is often one of the more budget friendly ways to enclose land in Auburn, but the final figure still depends on a few things: how far the fence runs, the number of rails per section, and the lay of your property. Cedar costs more up front than pressure treated pine, yet it rewards you with a longer life and almost no upkeep over the years. Pulling out an old fence, rough or sloping ground, and the crew’s time all factor in as well.
Since we aren’t carrying the overhead of a large company, our quotes stay down to earth, and that saving goes straight back to you. Ask for a free, itemized estimate and every cost is spelled out clearly, with nothing hidden away.
De Dios Construction is the local name Auburn and the wider King County communities turn to for split rail fencing and repairs. With rural lots, hobby farms, and larger properties scattered across the area, plenty of owners come to us for open fencing that defines their land and adds character without closing it in. We’re not a distant outfit passing through. We live and work right here, and we build each fence as part of a community we truly care about.
The reasons are simple. We’re family run, we speak plainly, and we take pride in how every fence turns out because our name goes with it. The national chains can’t say the same. We’re rooted in this town and genuinely tied to it. Pick us and you get fair pricing with no shortcuts, a crew just as ready for a small repair as a full install, and open conversation the whole way through, whether you’re asking about Cedar, rail count, or the warranty behind the work.

Jimmy and Daniel De Dios showed up at our house to give an estimate to replace 75 feet of old cedar fencing bordering our backyard. This fence is on a hill, very close to a row of very large trees, and had a vertical slope on one end. They were completely unphased by any of this. We also asked them to install two gates, one on each side of our house, to make the yard completely fenced in. Jimmy answered all of our questions and educated us on the types of fencing materials that are available. We had received bids from other companies that were similar in price, but the thing that sold us on this company was that he did not upcharge to use the top quality posts and planks. Those are just the types of materials he routinely uses because that is how you get the best result. And the two sections of fence that were to be built in the sloped area required 8' planks instead of 6' planks, which he provided at the same price as the 6' planks. Doing that made the top of the fence completely level from one end to the other, which makes the new fence look so much nicer. His crew finished the entire job in 8 hours, and the gates and fence look fantastic. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the crew that did the work, and we would use them again in an instant.Posted on Google![]()

Jimmy, Daniel, and the construction crew proved to be a courteous, knowledgeable, and energetic team. They continually checked with me to make certain the project was proceeding within the framework of my original concept. And they gladly made changes to suit my needs if they happened to change slightly along the way. I am a very satisfied customer!Posted on Google![]()

I got a straightforward quote in person. Great pricing. Crew was on time and cleaned up after. They walked me through before finalizing panels and after. They checked with me about gate details and even added so coverage on uneven ground to keep the fence tight to the ground with a uniform top. Absolutely no complaints. So glad I had them do the work!Posted on Google![]()

De Dios Construction LLC, Fence Company provided me with an excellent, professional service. I'm extremely satisfied with their installation of our cedar-wood gate fence. They installed about 100 ft. of fence with two doors on each side of our house in one day for a reasonable fair price. Our fence looks amazing and I'm very thankful for there great service.Posted on Google![]()

I would definitely recommend De Dios Fence Company. Jimmy and Daniel were great throughout the entire process. From the beginning, they were responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They came out quickly to provide a quote and were very thorough, walking the entire yard to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. They also took the time to check the fence panels we planned to keep to make sure they were still in good condition. The quote was sent quickly, and they followed up once without being pushy. They were also very accommodating with a few last-minute adjustments, which they handled without any stress or frustration. On installation day, they arrived on time, worked hard throughout the day, and did an amazing job. They asked questions when needed instead of making assumptions, and the finished fence looks fantastic. It was exactly what we wanted. They offered helpful recommendations along the way rather than letting us make decisions we would regret. After the job was completed, we noticed one very small cosmetic issue involving some cement in a landscaped area that our HOA might have had concerns about. De Dios came out the very next day and resolved it right away. I truly cannot speak highly enough of this family-owned business. They were professional, reliable, and took pride in their work. I would absolutely use them again in the future.Posted on Google![]()

Everything from start to finish was GREAT working with De Dios. The communication was above par, everything in the estimate and in my conversation with Daniel let me know EXACTLY what was going to be done and with what materials, and it allowed us to make an educated decision on selecting them to fix our fence. They arrived when stated, and they were quick, efficient, and clean. Even with some trouble areas in our yard, they made it work. The fence looks great and we are very happy with how it turned out. We would highly recommend them to friends and family. We are very grateful!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. You’re already busy enough as it is. We want to make this as easy as possible for you and it basically boils down to three steps:
You can call us or use our website form to send us a request. We’ll call you to talk over your project and schedule a time for us to assess the property.
We’ll meet you at your property, take pictures, measurements, and talk over your project with you.
After you approve your quote, we will request a deposit to buy your materials and schedule your project. After that, count down the days until we bring your fence to life.
It depends on the length of the run, how many rails each section uses, and the labor the job calls for. Split rail is often one of the more affordable styles, and our family run setup keeps us competitive on top of that. Reach out for a free local estimate built to your Auburn property.
It’s ideal for marking property lines, adding rustic curb appeal, and enclosing larger or rural lots without blocking the view. It offers little privacy by design, so it suits owners who want definition and character rather than a solid screen.
Yes. From a single cracked rail or leaning post to a full replacement, we handle aging fences all over Auburn. We assess the damage first, then recommend the most cost effective fix for your property.
Cedar is the go to for most Auburn homeowners, prized for its durability, its handsome weathered look, and its natural resistance to the elements, which matters on a fence this exposed. Where it suits your plans, we also install pressure treated and other quality wood.
We are. De Dios Construction is fully licensed and insured for every residential fencing job across Auburn and King County, so your property stays protected and your mind stays at ease.
